Rent variations

The rent you pay varies in line with inflation each year. An adjustment is also made to bring your rent in line with the target rent, also mentioned within the your rent amount page. The full details are set out in your tenancy agreement.

Who will amend my direct debit for rent increases?

We will automatically advise your bank. The change takes place in the month your new rent commences. If you wish to pay by this method, please contact the Rent Management Team within your area.

Who will amend my Standing Order?

You will need to contact your bank and advise them of the new total for your rent and service charges. Contact the Rent Management Team if you need further information.

I receive Housing Benefit what do I do?

Please forward a copy of the rent increase letter to your Local Authority Housing Benefit section and advise them of the change in your rent. Sanctuary Housing Association will also advise the Housing benefit department of any changes.
